Member Bies introduced the following resolution and LVED its adoption:
"RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT
FOR BIDS" (FUND 21 (h) - THOTLAND'S TWIN VIEW TERRACE ADDITIONS CURB AND
GUTTER BITUMINOUS PAVING)
(FUND 21 (1) - TOLEDO AVENUE BITUMINOUS PAVEMENT FROM ST. CROIX
TO MINNAQUA)
(FUND 21 (e) - WESTERN AVENUE STORM DRAINAGE)
(FUND 21 (d) - WESTERN AVENUE PAVING)
(FUND 21 - Wz YALE GARDEN HOMES STREET IMPROVEMENT)
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolutions heretofore passed by the Council the
Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for Fund 21 (c), (d),
(e), (h), (i) and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council
for approval; NOW THEREFORE,
1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. That the Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in
the Suburban Press and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for
bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published once, shall state
that bids will be opened and considered by the Council at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
on August b, 1957, in the council chambers in the temporary Village meeting
place and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the
Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or
certified check payable to the Clerk for five (5%) per cent of the amount
of such bid.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly`deconded by
Member Teresi and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Bies, Nadasdy, Rahn and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by
the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
