#071 08-06-57 Provide Public Hearing Lateral Sewer 4c MinterResolution No. 71 August 6, 1957 Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT'S (Lateral Sewer 4(c) - Minter) Be It Resolved, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley as follows: 1. In conformity with -he provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible, and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement ® as follows: Total cost of improvements $4,950.50 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 22, 1957, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 29, 1957. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY H.ENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA r r y NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT " (Lateral Sewer 4(c) - Minter) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, September 3, 1957, at 7:30 otclock P.M. at 8030 Floyd B. Olson Memorial Highway in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed public improvement. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improve- ment will be $4,950.50. The area to be served will be as follows, Area beginning at southwest property corner of lot 6. Block 2, of Hampshire Oaks Third Addition; thence northerly along west property lines of Lot 6, Block 2 and Lot 6, Block 1 of Hampshire A Resolution No. 71 (continued) August 6, 1957 Oaks Third Addition to the Northwest property corner of Lot 6, Block 1, of Hampshire Oaks Third Addition; thence easterly along North property line of Block 1 of Hampshire Oaks Third Addition to the north- east property corner of said block; thence southerly along the East property lines of Lot 1, Block 1 and Lot 1, Block 2 of Hampshire Oaks Third Addition to the southeast property corner of Lot 1, Block 2, of Hampshire Oaks Third Addition; thence westerly along south property line of Block 2 of Hampshire Oaks Third Addition to the point of beginning. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the description set forth above, including all property in the area and abutting on the street described above. All owners of such property in the area and abutting on the street described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvement, if any there be. /s/ Royce W.
