Member Teresi then introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
"RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS"
(Grading and gravelling: Laurel Avenue 58 GG 3; Xenia Avenue
58 GG 4; Gettysburg Avenue and Duluth'Street 58 GG 1)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,,
MLnnesota., as follows:
1. That at a hearing held on this day at 700 o'clock P.M., at the address
of 8030 Floyd B. Olson Highway,, in the Village of Golden Valley., after notice
of said hearing duly published as required by law., this Council has consulted
the views of all persons interested and,, being fully advised of the pertinent
facts,, does hereby determine to proceed with the construction of certain
proposed public improvements for said Village,, in accordance with the descrip-
tion of said improvements contained in said notice, as follows:
Opening., changing and establishing the grade, grading and gravelling,
and providing for surface water drainage in and for the following
described streets:
1. Laurel Avenue westerly from Turner's Crossroad to the east line of the
right-of-way of the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern railroad or,
in the alternative, to its most westerly terminus lying easterly of
said right-of-way.
2. Xenia Avenue from the southerly line of Registered Land Survey No. 661
to Old Wayzata Boulevard.
3. Gettysburg Avenue from its intersection with Duluth Street to its
intersection with Earl Street., and Duluth Strebt from its intersection
with Hillsboro Avenue to its intersection with Gettysburg Avenue.
Said improvements are hereby designated as Public Improvements 58 GG 3,, 58
GG 4. and 58 GG 1., respectively.
2. The cost of said improvements shall be paid out of special assessments
to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing.
3. The Village Engineer is hereby designated as engineer for the construc-
tion of proposed Public Improvements, and he is hereby authorized, ordered and
instructed to prepare final plans and specifications for said improvement and
submit the same to the Village Council for approval at the earliest possible
date.

The motion for the, adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Bies and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following
members voted in favor thereofs Bies, Flannagan,, Nadasdy, Stark and Teresi
and the following voted against the same: None
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed
by the Mayor, and his signature attestd&k y the Clerk.
