#118 01-21-58 Authorize Police to Act as Process ServersResolution No. 118 January 21, 1958 Member Scherer introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING POLICE OFFICERS TO ACT AS PROCESS SERVERS" WHEREAS, the office of Constable in the Village of Golden Valley has heretofore been abolished by the adoption of Ordinance No. 22, and WHEREAS, each of the two (2) officers of Constable in the Village is now vacant and has thereby ceased to exist, Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley that each and all members of the Golden Valley Police Department is and are designated as process officers, having all of the powers and duties appertain- ing to the office of Constable. Each such officer shall pay into the Village Treasury all fees received by hm for performing the duties of Constable. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Bies, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereoft Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
