#140 04-01-58 Order Bids Sewer 4a,4b,4c General Replacement1 1 all ResolutionNo. 140 April 1, 1958 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (Street Replacement and Improvement Work in Connection with Lateral Sewers 4(a), 4(b) and 4(c); General Street Replacement, Repair, Maintenance and Improvement Work) WHEREAS, the Village Council contemplates ttreet improvement, replacement, repair and maintenance work consisting of grading, graveling and bituminous surfacing and bituminous treatment and dust abatement, and for that purpose contemplates the hiring of equipment and/or the use of Village equipment and the purchase of materials for all such work to be done by day labor daring the 12 month period commencing April 1, 1958. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota as follows: 1. The Council estimates that the following quantities of material and the following equipment for the time indicated will be needed on such projects during the 12 -month period commencing April 1, 1958: KIND OF MATERIAL ESTIMATED QUANTITIES NEEDED Pit Run Gravel Class 5 Gravel Seal Coat Aggregate MC -0, 1, 2, 3 50,000 Cubic Yards 5,000 Cubic Yards 1,250 Tons \ 150,000 Gallons 2. The specifications prepared by the Village Engineer are hereby approved. 3. The Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for the purchase of such materials inder such specifications. The advertisement shall be published for one week, shall call for bids for such materials, shall state that bids will be opened and considered by the Council at 7:30 o•clock P.M. on April 15, 1958 at 8030 Floyd B. Olson Memorial Highway and that no bids will be opened or considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check, cashier*s check or bid bond payable to the Clerk for five per cent (5%) of the amount of such bid based on the estimated total quantity of the materials to be used, multiplied by the unit price. >a" '-Mayor ATTEST: ting Village Clerk Resolution No. 140 (continued) April 1, 1958 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being teken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi, and the following voted.against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk. e 1
