#143 04-15-58 Provide Public Hearing Sanitary Sewer 58-LF-25X16 Resolution No. 143 April 15, 1958, Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT" (Lateral Sanitary Sewer - Project 58-L.P.-25) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct a certain proposed public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The G. M. Orr Engineering Company has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and in connection with other lateral sanitary sewer work involved in Project No. 58-L.P.-25, and has given its estimated cost of the improvement as follows-: Total cost of improvement: $79150.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described Herein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April 17, 1958, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April 24, 1958. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (LATERAL SANITARY SEWER - Project 58-L.F.-25) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on May 6, 1958 at 7:30 P.M. at 8030 Floyd B. Olson Memorial Highway in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement. The G. M. Orr Engineering Company, the engineers designated for the project, estimate that the entire cost for the improvement will be $7,150.00. Resolution No. 143 (continued) April 15, 1958 The area to be served will be as follows: All that property in or abutting upon. -streets which are in or abutting upon the following described tract of land: The Fest 150 feet of the NE a of the NW i of Section Five (5), Township One Hundred Seventeen (117), Range Twenty-one.(21), lying Southerly of Ridgeway Road. It is proposed that said lateral sanitary sewer improvement be constructed in connection with Lateral Sanitary Sewer Project 58-L.F.-- In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposed to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the description set forth above, including all property within the described area and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all railroad property and rialroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above described areas. All owners of such property in the'area and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement, if any there be.
