#151 05-06-58 Vacate Portions of Certain Streets1 1 1 Resolution No. 151 . May 6, 1958 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION VACATING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS" WHEREAS, petitions of the majority of the owners of real property fronting on the line of the streets and.portions of streets described below, has been duly filed with the Village Council, and said Council has met at the time and place specified in a notice duly published, and has heard all interested persons, and it appears in the interest of the public that said streets and portions of streets be vacated, Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley that the streets and portions of streets described below, _as the same are now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of said Village be, and the same hereby are, vacated: 1) Commencing at a point two hundred eight and ninety-eight hundredths (208.98) feet South of the North quarter corner of Section Thirty-one (31),, Township one hundred eighteen (118) North of Range Twenty-one (21) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, according to the Government Survey thereof; thence South fifty-six degrees, fifty minutes West, one hundred fifty and four tenths feet (150.4) on a tangent; thence in a Southwesterly direction on a curve to the right with a radius of Two Hundred eighty-six and eighty-nine hundredths (286.89) feet, one hundred ninety-seven and ninety hundredths (197.90) feet; thence North eighty-four (84) degrees and forty-five (45) minutes West, two hundred fifty and five tenths (250.5)feet; thence in a Northwesterly direction on curve to the right, with a radius of two hundred eighty-seven and ninety hundredths (287.90) feet; one hundred eighty- and sixty-five hundredths feet (180.65), thence North forty-eight degrees and thirty-four minutes West six hundred twenty-five and ninety hundredths (625.90) feet to the North- west corner of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section thirty-one, Township one hundred eighteen, Range twenty-one, and is the center line of a road sixty (60) feet wide; also a road thirty (30) feet in width, the east line of which commences at a point where the North and South center line intersects the Northerly line of the Luce Electric Line Right of Way; thence North along the said center line two hundred eighty two and fifty-six hundredths (282.56) feet, EXCEPTING THEREFROM any part thereof included in the easement' and right of way for roadway purposes for public use which the Village of Golden Valley acquired from General Mills, Inc. by quit claim deed dated ,duly 12, 1956 and filed for record on August 10, 1956 in the office of the Registerof Deeds for Hennepin County, Minnesota, as Document No. 3022895 in Book 2099 of Deeds, Page 119, over, along or upon the following described land; That part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 31, Township 118, Range 21 and of the South- Epey o Aw ?30 Resolution No. 151 (continued) May 6, 1958 east 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 30, Township 118, Range 21, being a strip of land 60 feet in width and 30 feet on each side of the following described center line, to -wit: Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 31; thence South along the East line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4, a distance of 208.98 feet to the actual point of beginning of the center line to be described; thence Southwesterly deflecting 560-59* to the right from last described line 197.34 feet; thence con- tinuing South-westerly along a tangential curve to the right, with a radius of 615.61 feet, a distance of 203.43 feet; thence Westerly along a tangential curve to theright, with a radius of 559.88 feet, a distance of 187.78 feet to an intersection with a line parallel with and 30 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the Northerly right -of way line of the Minnesota Western Railroad Company; thence Westerly along said parallel line 118.61 feet; thence Northwesterly along a tangential curve to the right, with a radius of 375.74 feet, a distance of 211.27 feet; thence Northwesterly along a straight line, tangent to last des- cribed curve 146.05 feet; thence Northwesterly along a tangential curve to the right, with a radius of 1144.65 feet, a distance of 165.43 feet; thence Northwesterly along a straight line, tangent to last described curve 229.27 feet; thence Northwesterly along a tangential curve to the left, with a radius of 168.43 -feet, to an intersection with the West line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 and there terminating. Also that part of the East 30 feet of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 31, Town- ship 118, Range 21, lying Southerly of the above described strip of land and Northerly of the right of way of the Minnesota Western Railroad Company. All of the above described land being in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota. 2) That portion of a public street not previously vacated, now known as Ardmore Drive, formerly known as June Avenue and Jean Avenue, which lies North of Trunk Highway No. 55, East of Registered Land Survey No. 266 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared dulypassed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk. 1 Resolution No. 151 (continued) Attest: Vilf'agEotlerk and Administrator 1 1 May 6, 1958 V 994 0 0 :#.
