Member Bies then introduced and read the following written resolution
and MOVED its adoption:
"RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Roanoke Road, etc. Storm Sewer; and
Kewanee Way Watermain)"
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain public improve-
ments within the Village"as`sthted in'the'foim'of notice included in Para-
graph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising
it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible,
and that .they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some
other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement, and
has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows:
For Roanoke Road, etc. Storm Sewer
Total Cost: $21,556.60
For Kewanee Way Watermain
Total Cost: $14,282.06
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the
form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a
public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the
time, place and purpose of said meeting tobe published for two successive
weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first
of such publication to be in the issue of said paper dated May 29, 1958 and
the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 5,
1958. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

HENN.EPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Roanoke Road, etc. Storm Sewer, P -58 -SS -5;
and Kewanee Way Watermain, P-58 WM-1)"
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, June 17, 1958
at 7:30 o'clock P. M. at 8030 Floyd B. Olson Memorial Highway in said Village,
for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public
improvements.

The engineer for the Village estimates that the cost for the improve-
ments will be as follows:
For Roanoke Road, etc. Storm Sewer, F -58 -SS -5
Total Cost: $21,556.60
For Kewanee Way Watermain, P -58-1,,M-1
Total Cost: $14,282.06
The Roanoke Road, etc. Storm Sewer Improvement consists of the con-
struction and installation of storm and surface water drainage facilities in
and for the following described area:
Lots 5 and 6, Block 5, Glendale Addition
All of Block 6
Lots 2 thru 10, Block 7, Glendale Addition
Lots 5 thru 19, Block 10, Glendale Addition
Lots 4 thru 10, Block 11
Lots A, B, C, Block 10, Glendale Addition
All of Glendale 2nd Addition
Also that part of Section 30, Township 29, Range 24,
bounded by the following described line: Beginning
at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Natchez
Avenue; thence West to the centerline of Ottawa
Avenue; thence South 875 feet; thence East to the
Centerline of Natchez Avenue South; thence continuing
East 331 feet; thence North to the centerline of
Glenwood Avenue; thence West to beginning.
The estimated cost of this improvement is $21,556.60.
The Kewanee Way Watermain improvement consists of the construction
and installation of a Watermain and water supply facilities in and for the
following described tract of land:
All that property in Delphian Heights Third Unit
and Scherer Addition abutting Kewanee Way
The estimated cost of this improvement is $14,282.06.
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the
proposed improvements, the Council proposes to proceed under the authority
granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements
is prop6sed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the descrip-
tion above, including all property in the area and abutting on the streets
described above. All owners of such property in the area and abutting on the
streets described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing
and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any
there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Bies, Flannaga, Nadasdy, Scherer and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the
Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
