Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and,
MOVED its adoption:
•'RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON
CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS"
(Lateral Sanitary Sewer -Projects 58-L.F.-26 and 58-L.F.-27)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain proposed public
improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in
paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The G. M. Orr Engineering Company has reported to the Council advising
it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and
that they should best be made as proposed and in connection with Lateral Sani-
tary Sewer Project 58-L.F., and has given its estimated cost of the improvements
as follows:
Total Cost, Project 58-L.F.-26: $21,000.00
Total Cost, Project 58-L.F.-27: $ 7,000.00
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in
the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such
publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 5, 1958, and the
second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June, 12,
1958.Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

ON CERTAIN PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
(Lateral Sanitary Sewer - Project 58-L.F.-26 and 58-L.F.-27)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley,Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on June 17, 1958 at 7:30 o*clock
p.m. at 8030 Floyd B. Olson Memorial Highway in said Village, for the purpose
of holding a public hearing on certain proposed lateral sanitary sewer
improvements.
The G. M. Orr Engineering Company, the engineers designated for the
projects, estimate that the entire cost for the improvements will be as
follows:
Total cost, Project 58-L.F.-26: $21,000.00
Total cost, Project 58-L.F.-27: $70000.00

The area to be served will be as follows:
Project 58-L.F.-26
All that property in Section 18, Township 29, Range 24
lying within the following described boundaries:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Lot 16, Auditor's
Subdivision #361; thence west along the north line of
Parcel 1800 to the intersection of said north line and
a line parallel with and measured 150' east of the east
right of way line of State Highway 100; thence north
along a line parallel with and measured 150' east of
said east right of way line to the intersection with
a line drawn parcelled with and 550' south of the north
line of Section 18, Township 29, Range 24; thence west
along the last mentioned line to the East right of way
line of State Highway No. 100; thence south along said
East right of way line to the Northwest corner of Parcel
(2000); thence east along the north line of Parcel (2000)
to the Northeast corner of Parcel (2000); thence north
along west line of Auditor's subdivision No. 361 to the
point of beginning.
Project 58-L.F.-27
All that property abutting on Quebec Avenue North from
Plymouth Avenue North to Olympia Street.
It is proposed that said lateral sanitary sewer improvements be con-
structed in connection with Lateral Sanitary Sewer Project 58-L.F.
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the pro-
posed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the auth-
ority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements
is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the descrip-
tions set forth above, including all property within the described areas and/
or abutting on streets described above and also including all railroad
property and railroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above des-
cribed areas.
All owners of property in the areas and abutting upon the streets des-
cribed above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and
to make known their objections to such proposed lateral sanitary sewer im-
provements, if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof-: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by
the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.
