#168 06-17-58 Provide Public Hearing Watermain Improvement Parkview Terrace374 y Resolution No. 168 June 17, 1958 Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING.FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT" (Parkview Terrace, etc.) BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain water main improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed water main improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows: Total cost of improvement: $25,000.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed water main improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 19, 1958, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 26, 1958. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT (Parkview Terrace, etc.) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on July 1, 1958 at 7:30 o*clock P. M. at 8030 Floyd B. Olson Memorial Highway in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed watermain improvement. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improvement will be $25,000.00. The area to be served will be as follows: 1 1 Resolution No. 168 (continued) June 17, 1958 Property abutting on both sides of North Tyrol Trail from its intersection with Wayzata Boulevard northerly to its inter- section with Meadow Lane North and Parkview Terrace; and on both sides of Parkview Terrace from its intersection with North Tyrol Trail and Meadow Lane North, northerly�to its Way - .inter with Glenwood Avenue; on the North side of Way- zata Boulevard from its intersection with France Avenue extended to its intersection with North Tyrol Trail; and on both sides of Glenwood Avenue from its intersection with Parkview Terrace to its intersection with France Avenue extended In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the pro- posed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the auth- ority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the des- criptions set forth above, including all property within the described area and/or abutting on streets described above. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed watermain improvement, if any there be.
