#175 06-24-58 Provide Public Hearing Public Improvements4114 �i �eey� W Resolution No. 175 June 24, 1958 Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS" BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated costs of the improvements as follows: Total cost of Improvements: $92,783.38 (The estimated cost of each separate improvement is as is set forth in the form of notice of public hearing set forth in paragraph 4 below.) 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in theSuburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated July 3, 1958, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated July 10, 1958. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Miscellaneous Street and Other Improvements — 1958) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on Tuesday, July 15, 1958 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at 8030 Floyd B. Olson Memorial Highway in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed public improvements. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improvements will be $92,783.38. Bituminous Surfacing in and for areas described as follows: Estimated Cost - $1$897.27 Area affected and to be assessed - as described below: Project 58 -BS -2 - Major Avenue. All that property abutting Major Avenue North, from 27th Avenue North to Culver Road. Bituminous Surfacing in and for area described as follows: Estimated cost - $3,020.33 Area affected and to be assessed - as described below: Project 58 -BS -3 - Unity Avenue and Tope,1 Road All that property abutting Topel Road, from T.H. No. 100 to Unity Avenue, and also all of E.E. Dietrichs Third Addition, abutting Unity Avenue. Bituminous Surfacing in and for area described as follows: Estimated cost - $6,746.83 Area affected and to be assessed - as described below: Project 58-13S-4 - Hope Chest Addition All of Hope Chest Addition and also all that part of the Northeast one quarter (NEI), Section 6, Township:117, Range 21, abutting Field Drive. Bituminous Surfacing in and for area described as follows: Estimated cost -$6,502.64 Area affected and to be assessed - as described below: Project 58 -BS -7 All property abutting from Triton Drive from Belt 406 �r Resolution No. 175 June 24, 1958 Line (No. 100) to Glenden Terrace, Glenden Terrace from Triton Drive to Scott Avenue, Scott Avenue from Glenden Terrace to Culver Road, Culver Road from Regent Avenue to Belt Line (No. 100). Bituminous Surfacing in and for area described as follows: Estimated cost - $39134.69 Area affected and to be assessed - as described below: Project 58 -BS -11 - Ottawa Avenue North All that property abutting Ottawa Avenue North, from. T.H. No. 55 (Olson Memorial'Highway) North to the South right-of-way line of Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway. Curb and Gutter Construction on the following streets: Estimated cost 7,945.29 Area affected 'and to be assessed - as described below: Project 58 -CG -2 - Sunset Ridge and West Side of Sumac Road All of Block 15 Kennedy*s West Tyrol Hills Addition abutting Sunset Ridge and also all of Block 16, Kennedy's West Tyrol Addition abutting Sunset Ridge and Road. Curb and Gutter Construction_ and Bituminous Surfacing in and for area described as follows: Estimated cost: $5,004.68 (Curb and Gutter) 1,803.99 (Bituminous Surfacing) Area affected and to be assessed - As described below: Project 58 -CG -5 (Curb and Gutter) Project 58 -BS -8 (Bituminous Surfacing) Green Valley Road. All that property abutting Green Valley Road, from Kelly Drive to Louisiana Avenue North. Curb and Gutter Construction and Bituminous Surfacing in and for area described as follows: Estimated cost: $31,018.66 (Curb and Gutter and Bituminous Surfacing) Area affected and to be assessed - as described below: Project 58 -CG -3 (Curb and Gutter) Project 58-BS-5—(Bituminous Surfacing) Westbrook Addition. All that part of Westbrook Addition lying in Golden Valley and East of Bassett*s Creek. A07 Resolution No. 175 (continued) June 24, 1958 In conducting said public hearing for making its decisions on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota laws for 1953 as amended. Each of said improvements will be separately considered and separately acted up@n. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the description of each improvement set forth above. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
