#196 09-02-58 Order Work Done by Day Labor Westwood Drive BS-13 and GG-9Resolution No. 196 September 2, 1958
Member Flannagan then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its
adoption:
"RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK DONE BY DAY LABOR"
(Road running West from Westwood Drive, Projects No. BS -13 and GG -9)
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for street improvement (Projects No.
BS -13 and GG -9) have heretofore been approved by the Village Council and,
WHEREAS, completion of this project requires street grading and gravel-
ing and bituminous surfacing of the streets, all of which work has heretofore
been duly approved and ordered by the Village Council, Now Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota,as follows:
1. The Village Engineer shall proceed under the direction of the Council,
as given from time to time, to carry on all work in connection with such
improvement in accordance with the plans and specifications and resolution
ordering work done heretofore approved by the Council.
2. It is hereby found and determined that the Village of Golden Valley
has -sufficient equipment of the type necessary to carry on said street grading
and graveling and bituminous surfacing. It is hereby directed that said
equipment be used for said work and that the appropriate funds shall be
charged for the use of said equipment the reasonable rental value thereof
as the cost of said work, and the Village Engineer shall keep an accurate
record and account of the use and rental of said equipment and shall in-
clude it on any and all reports on the cost of work done by day .labor under
the provisions of this resolution.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Teresi and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution
was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature
attested by the Clerk.
