Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
"RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON A LATERAI. SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT"
(LATERAL SANITARY SEWERS -PROJECTS NO. 10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,19,20,21)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain lateral san-
tary sewer improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice
included in Paragraph 4, hereof.
2. Orr-Schelen, Inc., the engineers designated for the project, has
reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed
lateral sanitary sewer improvement is feasible and that it should best be
made as proposed and in connection with such other lateral sanitary sewer
projects as may be and constitute part of Project No. 59-L.F. and be ordered
for construction in 1959, and has given its estimated cost of the improve-
ment hereinafter described as follows:
Total cost of improvement: $539,000.00
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a
public hearing on the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement as
described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose'of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks
in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of
such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated March 5 and the
second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated March 12,
1959. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley will meet on March 17, 1959, at 7:30 otclock p. m. at 7840 Sixth
Avenue North;in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on
a certain proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement.
Orr-Schelen, Inc., engineers for the project, estimate that the entire cost
for the improvement will be $539,000,.00. The area to be served will be as
follows:

All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement
is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the
description set forth above, including all property within the described
areas and/or abutting on streets, easements, and/or land described above
and also including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way
located in or abutting on the above described areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets
etc. described above are hereby notified to be present at said public
hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed lateral
sanitary sewer improvement if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed
by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.
