#015 04-07-59 Approve Bids 59-LF-10 Thru 222 Resolution No. 15 April 7, 1959 Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFI- CATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS" (Lateral Sanitary Sewer Project No. 59-L.F. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 20 (Supplemental), 21, 22,). WHEREAS, pursuant to resolutions passed by the Council on March 17, 1959 and April 7, 1959, and instructions given, Orr-Schelen, Inc. has pre- pared plans and specifications for Lateral Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No. 59-L.F. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 20 (Supplemental), 21, 22, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its approval, Now, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, 1. That such plans and specifications be and the same hereby are approved. 2. That there shall be prepared and inserted in the Suburban Press and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The adver- tisement shall be published once, not less than three weeks before the last day for the submission of bids, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened publicly by -the Village Clerk and the Village Engineer at 11:00 o'clock A.M. on May 1, 1959, in the Council Chambers at 7840 Sixth Avenue North, and shall be tabulated by said Village Clerk and Village Engineer following their opening and prior to the meeting of the Village Council to be held on Tuesday, May 5, 1959 at 7:30 o'clock P. M. in the Council Chambers at 7840 Sixth Avenue North, at which time and place the Village Clerk and the Village Engineer shall report on their tabulation of said bids, and said bids and report will then and there be considered by the Village Council. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, money order, or certified check, payable to the Clerk for 5% of the amount of such bid. None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk. 1
