#027 05-05-59 Order Improvements Winnetka Ave 59-BS-6, EtcResolution No, 27 May 5, 1959 Member Teresi then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS" (Winnetka Avenue: 59 -BS -6, 59-M-5, 59 -GG -1) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That at a public hearing held on this day at 7:30 o*clock P. M. at 7840 Sixth Avenue North in the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, after notice of said hearing duly published as required by law, this Council has consulted the views of all persons interested and, being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does hereby determine to proceed with the construction of certain proposed public improvements for said Village, in accordance with the description of said improvements contained in said notice, as follows: on and for Winnetka Avenue North from its intersection with Trunk Highway No. #55 northerly to its intersection with Winsdale Street 2. It is hereby found and determined that said public improvement is feasible and can best be constructed as set forth in said report and not in connection with some other improvement (the Council reserves the right to consolidate said improvement with other public improvement(s) at a later date if it seems advisable to do so). 3. The cost of said improvement(s) to be borne by the Village shall be paid out of special assessments to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing. 4. Said improvement(s) are to be constructed by the County of Hennepin pursuant to the terms of an agreement between the County and the Village, with part of the cost to be borne by the Village. Plans and Specifications for said improvements hereto -fore prepared by the engineers for the County are hereby approved. The proper officer of the village area hereby auth- orized and instructed to execute said contract with the County upon approval thereof by the Village Attorney. Said contract shall provide for the letting of contracts for the construction of said improvement(s) by the lowest re- sponsible bidder(s) following proper advertisement for competitive bids. r Mayor Attest: V 11 aPer k and dministrator Resolution No, 27 (Continued) May 5, 1959 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
