#030 05-05-59 Provide Hearing Improvements Street ImprovementsResolution No. 30 may 5, 1959 Member Flannagan then introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS" (Miscellaneous Street and Other Improvements - 1959) BE IT RESOLVED BY the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a pre- liminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improve- ments, and has given his estimated costs of the improvements as follows: Total cost of improvements: $50,064.83 (The estimated cost of each separate improvement is as is set forth in the form of notice of public hearing set forth in paragraph 4 below. The Village Council reserves the right to make any of said improvements in connection with any other improvements.) 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such pub- lications to be in the issue of said paper dated May 7, 1959, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated May 14, 1959. All property within the Village which is benefitted by the improvements in— cluding railroad property and railroad right of way, is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the description of the improvements above. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets de— scribed above are hereby notified to be present at said public.hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
