Resolution No. 35

Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
"RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING WORK DONE BY DAY LABOR"
(Miscellaneous Street and Other Improvements - 1959:
59 -BS -2, 59 -BS -3, 59 -BS -4, 59 -BS -5, 59 -BS -8, 59 -SC -1)
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council this day, the
Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for Miscellaneous
Street and Other Improvements - 1959 (59 -BS -2, 59 -BS -3, 59 -BS -4, 59 -BS -5,
59 -BS -8, 59 -SC -1) and has presented such plans and specifications to the
Council for approval,
AND WHEREAS, the work to be done involves street grading, gravel, and
bituminous surface;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley,as follows:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. The Village Engineer shall proceed under the direction of the
Council, as given from time to time, to carry on all work in
connection with said improvements in accordance with the plans
and specifications herein approved.
3. It is hereby found and determined that the Village of Golden Valley
has sufficient equipment to carry on the work necessary for said
improvements. It is hereby directed that said equipment be used
for said work and that the appropriate funds shall be charged for
the use of said equipment, the reasonable rental value thereof as
the cost of said work, and the Village Engineer shall keep an acc-
urate record and account of the use and rental of said equipment
and shall include it on any and all reports on the cost of work
done by day labor under the provisions of this resolution.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Teresi and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by
the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
