#044 06-02-59 Provide Hearing Improvement Sanitary Sewer No. 23 Thru 30(96 Resolution No. 44 June 2, 1959 Member Bies introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT" (LATERAL SANITARY SEWERS - PROJECTS NO. 23, 24, 25, 27, 29 &30) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain lateral sanitary sewer improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4, hereof. 2. Orr-Schelen, Inc., the engineers designated for the project, has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the pro- posed lateral sanitary sewer improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and in connection with such other lateral sanitary sewer projects as may be and constitute part of Project No. 59-L.F. and be ordered for construction in 1959, and has given its est - mated cost of the improvement hereinafter described as follows: Total Cost of Improvement: $223,000.00. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two seccessive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of.the Village, the first of such publication to be in the issue of said paper dated June 25 and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated July 2, 1959. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT - PROJECT NO. 59-L.F. (No. 23,24, 25, 27, 29, and 30) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley will meet on July 7, 1959, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement. Resolution No. 44 (Continued) June 2, 1959 Orr-Schelen, Inc., engineers for the project, estimate that the entire cost for the improvement will be $223,000.00. Bergstrom*s Valley Heights Addition - The N.W. quarter of S.E. quarter of Section 30, Township 118, Ragne 21. Project 59LF - 24 Plymouth Avenue from Mandan Avenue to Orkla Avenue. Zealand Avenue from Plymouth Avenue to Olympia Avenue. Aquila Avenue from Mandan Avenue to Olympia Avenue. Boone Avenue from Plymouth Avenue to Olympia Avenue. Olympia Avenue from Boone Avenue to Zealand Avenue. Project 59LF - 29 The South 400* of the West 700* of the N.W. quarter of r the S.W. quarter of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21, and Sumter Avenue from Winsdale Str-eet to Olympia Street. Project 59LF - 30 Winnetka Avenue from Medicine Lake Road to 800* South of Medicine Lake Road. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the description set forth above, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets, easements, and/or land described above and also including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above described areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets etc. described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed lateral Project 59LF - 25 Maryland Avenue from Plymouth Avenue to 300* North of Plymouth Avenue. Project 59LF - 27 Idaho Avenue from Western Avenue to Glenwood Avenue. The East 165* of the North 250* of N.W. quarter of N.E. quarter Section 5, Township 117, Range 21. The South 165* of Lot 78 and Lot 79, Auditor's Subdivision No. 322 in Section 32, Township 118, Range 21.
