#049 06-23-59 Award Contract Street Improvement No. C.G. 145J n 1 Resolution No. 49 June 23, 1959 Member Flannagan then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT NO. C. G. 163)4" BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared, that the lowest res- ponsible bidder(s) for work and materials necessary for the construction of Street Improvement No. 59-C. G. ],44 was (were) as follows: Name of Bidder(s) Portion of Work Bid on Base Amount of and Accepted Bid(s) 0. Drevdahl & Son & Co. all $16,083.60 and that the bid(s) submitted by said bidder(s) listed above is (are) in all respects in accordance with the law and with the published advertise- ment for bids, and with plans and specifications heretofore approved by the Council and now on file and of record in the office of the Village Clerk; and that the engineers employed by the Village have recommended that said bid(s) be accepted, and said bid(s) is (are) hereby accepted. 2. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make and execute contract(s) on behalf of the Village in accordance with the terms of said bid(s) when the bidder(s) shall have furnished contractor's bonds in the amount of the bid(s), conditioned as required by law. 3. The Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith all such cash deposits, bid bonds, certified or cashier's checks furnished by other bidders, and to retain that furnished by said contractor(s) until the execution and filing of said contract(s) and bond in his office. 4. All other bids are rejected. Attest: Vifl�O Clerk bnd Administrator rail Resolution No. 49 (Continued) June 23, 1959 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against thw same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
