#060 07-21-59 Provide Hearing Storm Drainage Improvement Tralee2 Resolution No. 60 July 21, 1959 Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT (Tralee) BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain proposed public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the im- provement as follows: Total cost of improvement: $5,892.16. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvement as de- scribed therein: 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two succ- essive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated July 30, 1959, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 6, 1959. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING (Proposed Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 59-S.S. 1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on the 18th day of August, 1959, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed storm sewer improvement. The estimated cost of said improve- ment is $5,892.16. The area to be served will be as follows: All lots and tracts of land in Tralee, according to the map and pland thereof on file and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota. Resolution No. 10 (Continued) July 21, 1959 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposed to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for:such improvement as set forth in the above description. All owners of such property in the area described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed storm sewer improvement, if any there be.
