#077 10-06-59 Award Improvement Plymouth Avenue5 Resolution No. 77 October 6, 1959 Member Bies then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR .A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT" (Grading and Gravelling, Plymouth Avenue) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared, that the lowest re- sponsible bidder for work and materials necessary for the construction of a certain proposed public improvement (Grading and Gravelling, Plymouth Avenue) is as follows: Name of Bidder Portion of Work Bid On Base Amount and Accepted of Bid Earl Welch Excavating Company, Inc. $117,162.22 and that the bids submitted by said bidder listed above are in all respects in accordance with law and with the published advertisement for bids, and with plans and specifications heretofore approved by the Council and now on file and of record in the office of the Village Clerk; and that the Village engineer has recommended that said bid be accepted, and said bid is hereby accepted. 2. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make and execute contracts on behalf of the Village in accordance with the terms of said bids when the bidder shall have furnished contractor's bonds in the amount of the bids, conditioned as required by law. 3. The Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith all such cash deposits, bid bonds, certified or cashier*s checks furnished by other bidders, and to retain that furnished by said contractor until the execution and filing of said contract and bond in his office. 4. All other bids are rejected. - - �A­ � �A - Msdy Attest: Village,,Clerk and Administrator 1 1 t � Resolution No. 77 (Continued) October 6, 1959 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; Bies, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same; None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk. 1 1
