#092 02-02-60 Provide Hearing Improvement 60-SS-5202 Resolution No. 92 February 2, 1960 Member Flannagan introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (Storm Sewer 60 -SS -5) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to undertake and construct a certain public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improve- ments, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows: Total cost of improvement: $333,815.10 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated February 4, 1960, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated February 11, 1960. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, STORM SEWER 60SS-5 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 16th, 1960, at 7:30 P.M. the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley will meet at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minnesota, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain public improvement. Commencing at the NW corner of Lot 8, Block 1, Matzke's Terra -Linda Addition; thence South to a line drawn parallel to and 1440 feet North of the South line of the North half of Section 30, T-118, R-21; thence West along said line 26 rods; thence Northeast to the point of beginning. The South of the East a of the SW a of the SE 4t Sec. 30, T-118, R-21. The East 150 feet of Lot 5, Busch's Meadow Acres. The total estimated cost of the improvement is $333,815.10. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953 as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the description above. All owners of such property in the area described above are hereby 204 o Resolution No. 92 (Continued) notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such public improvement, if any there be.
