#101 03-15-60 Provide Hearing Sanitary Sewr 60-LF-4 Thru 20Resolution No. 101 March 15, 1960 Member Bies introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Lateral Sanitary Sewers - Project No. 60 -LF, 4-8, 10, 12-17, 19 and 20) BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain lateral sanitary sewer improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project, has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed and in connection with such other lateral sanitary sewer projects as may be and constitute part of Project No. 60-L.F. and be ordered for construc- tion in 1960, and has given its estimated cost of the improvement hereinafter described as follows: Total cost of improvement: $159,226.65 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publication to be in the issue of said paper dated April 7, 1960, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April 14, 1960. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED LATERAL -SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Lateral Sanitary Sewers - Project 60 -LF, 4-8, 10, 12-17, 19 and 20) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on April 19, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed Lateral Sanitary Sewer Improvement. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the Improvement will be $159,226.65. Resolution No. 101 (Continued) The area to be served will be as follows: All that property which may be served by Lateral Sanitary Sewer installed on the following streets and easements and all that property abutting on the following streets and easements: 60 -LF -4 On Glenwood from Idaho Avenue North to Harold Avenue; On Jersey Avenue North from Western Avenue to Glenwood Avenue from Jersey Avenue East 260 feet. 60 -LF -55 On Kentucky Avenue_ South from Western Avenue to Colonial Road; On Colonial Road from Jersey Avenue to Louisiana Avenue South. 60 -LF -6 The East 825 feet of that part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 19, Township 29, Range 24, lying Northerly of the Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern Railway right-of-way, and South of State Highway right-of-way. 60 -LF -7 On Medicine Lake Road from West line of Lot 2, Block 3, Richland Hills to a point 617 feet East of the Centerline of Winnetka Avenue North. - 60 -LF -8 Lots 2, 3, 6, 7, Block 11, Winnetka 60 -LF -10 Lot 2, Block 2, All of Block 3, Hampshire Oaks 4th Addition; The East 330.0 feet of Lot 4, Keene, Higbee and Bitzer•s Golden Valley Outlots. 60 -LF -12 Lot 69, Auditor*s Subdivision No. 322 60 -LF -13 On Golden Valley Road from Legend Drive to Kyle Place; on 22nd Avenue North from Legend Drive to a point 270 feet West. 60 -LF -14 On Winnetka Avenue from Harold Avenue to Western Avenue; On Western Avenue from Winnetka Avenue to a point 1100 feet West. 60 -LF -15 Cloverleaf Terrace Second Addition 60 -LF -16 That part of the Southeast Quarter of the �y Northeast Quarter of Section 31, Township 118, Range 21, lying Northerly of Bassett•s Creek. 60 -LF -17 Lot 3, Meadowbrook Acres 60 -LF -19 On Pennsylvania Avenue from North line Tract G, Registered Land Survey No. 412 to Wayzata Boulevard 1 1 1 1 Resolution No. 101 (Continued) 60 -LF -20 The East 137.0 feet of the West 274.0 feet of Lot 42, Auditor's Subdivision No. 330; and the East 135.0 feet of the West 270.0 feet of the North 165.0 feet of Lot 41, Auditor's Subdivision No. 330. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the pro- posed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the descrip- tion set forth above, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above- described areas. All owners of such property in the described above, are hereby notified to to make known their objections to such improvement if any there be. ULSTAD, Manager The action for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
