#124 05-17-60 Provide Hearing Improvements 60-CG-7, 60-BS-20Resolution No. 124 May 17, 1960 Member Flannagan then introduced and read the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (60 -CG -7; 60 BS -20) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain public improve- ments within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated costs of the improvements as follows: Total cost of improvements: $6,917.35 (The estimated cost of each separate improvement is as is set forth in the form of notice of public hearing set forth in paragraph 4 below.) 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Village Manager (Clerk) is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated May 19, 1960, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated May 26, 1960. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS: No. 60 -CG -7, and 60 -BS -20 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on Tuesday, June 7, 1960 at 7:30 o'clock p.m. at the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed public improve- ments as herein designated: 250 Resolution No. 124 (Continued) 60 CG -7 - Concrete curb and gutter on Mandan Avenue from Plymouth Avenue to Boone Avenue. Estimated cost - $4004.44. 60 BS -20 - Bituminous Surfacing on Mandan Avenue from Plymouth Avenue to Boone Avenue. Estimated Cost - $2,912.91. The Village Engineer estimates the total cost of the above improvements to be $6,917.35. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposed to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Law for 1953 as amended. All properties within the Village which are benefited by the improvements, including all property abutting on said streets, are proposed to be assessed for such improvements. All owners of such properties abutting upon the streets described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed improvement, if any there be.
