#132 06-07-60 Provide Hearing Improvements 60-SS-4 Thru 8259 Resolution No. 132 June 7, 1960 Member Bies then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Storm Sewer 60 -SS -4, 6 and 8) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to undertake and construct certain public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total cost of improvements: $96,499.06. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Village Manager (Clerk) is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 9, 1960, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 16, 1960. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, STORM SEhrERS (60 -SS -4, 6 and 8) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 21, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed public improvements as herein designated: The improvements consist of the construction of Storm Sewers and Drainage Appurtenances, to provide surface water drainage for the following -described areas: (60 -SS -4) Lots 12 thru 19, Block 10, Noble Grove; Lots 15 thru 21, Block 11, Noble Grove; All of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10 Yale Garden Homes; All of Alfred Godfrey Addition; All of Lowry Terrace Addition; 260 Resolution No. 132 (Continued) All of Spake Addition; All of Block 1, Woodlawn Park; Lots 1 thru 8 and 11 thru 17, Block 8, Woodlawn Park; Lots 1 thru 4 and 7 thru 10, Block 9, Woodlawn Park; Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Goodrich Terrace; Lots 2 and 3, Block 1, Re -arrangement of Lots 15,16 and 17; Yale Garden Homes; Lot 1, Block 5, Re -arrangement of Lots 15, 16 and 17 Yale Garden Home; Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Dahinden's Third Addition; That part of Lot 18 and that part of Lot 19, Yale Garden Homes; lying South and East of Dahinden's Third Addition; The Fast 150 feet of Lots 11, 12 and 13, Yale Garden Homes; the estimated cost of the above proposed improvement (60 -SS -4) being $62,230.92. (60 -SS -6) Lots 12, 13 and 14, Block 1, Winnetka; All of Block 2, Winnetka; All of Block 3, Winnetka; Lots 1 thru 7, Block 4, Winnetka; Lots 1 thru 7, Block 5, Winnetka; All of Block 6, Winnetka; All of Block 7, Winnetka; Lots 8 thru 14, Block 8, Winnetka; Lots 10 thru 17, Block 3, Val -Wood Addition; Lots 8 and 9, Block 2, Val Wood Addition; All of Block 2, Val -Wood Second Addition; Lots 1 thru 4, Block 1, Val -Wood Second Addition; the estimated cost of the above proposed improvement (60 -SS -6) being $29,363.41. (60 -SS -8) Lots 4 thru 18, Block 5, Noble Grove; All of Block 6, Noble Grove; Lots 6 thru 12, Block 8, Noble Grove; Lots 1 thru 7, Block 9, Noble Grove; The estimated cost of the above proposed improvement (60 -SS -8) being $904.72. The total estimated cost of all of the above improvements is: $96,499.06. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposed to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Law for 1953, as amended. 1 1 1 Resolution No. 132 (Continued) All properties within the Village which are benefited by the improve- ments, including all property abutting on said streets, are proposed to be assessed for such improvements. All owners of such properties abutting upon the areas described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed improve- ments, if any there be.
