Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A
LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Lateral
Sanitary Sewers - Project No. 60 -LF, 21, 22,
23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 29)
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws
of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain lateral
sanitary sewer improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice
included in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project,
has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed
lateral sanitary sewer improvements are feasible and should best be made as
proposed and in connection with such other lateral sanitary sewer projects
as may be and constitute part of Project No. 60-L.F. and be ordered for con-
struction in 1960, and has given its estimated cost of the improvement here-
inafter described as follows:
Total cost of improvement: $274,040.03.
3. The Council shall meet at the

notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two
successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village,
the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August
4, 1960, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper
dated August 11, 1960. Such notice shall be in substantially the following
form:

ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT
(Lateral Sanitary Sewers - Project No. 60 -LF, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 29)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on August 16, 1960, at
7:30 o*clock P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village
for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Improvement.
The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the Improvement
will be $274,040.03.

The area to be served will be as follows:
All that property which may be served by Lateral Sanitary Sewer
installed on the following streets and easements and all that
property abutting on the following streets and easements:
60 -LF -21 Those parts of the Southwest Quarter (4) of the
Northwest Quarter (4); Northwest Quarter (1) of
the Southwest Quarter (4); Government Lot 2;
Government Lot 3; all in Section 33, Township
118, Range 21, lying North of T.H. #55 right-
of-way, East of the Minneapolis, Northfield
and Southern Railroad right-of-way, South of
the Minnesota Western Railroad right-of-way
and West of Trunk Highway #100.
60 -LF -22 On Hampshire Avenue North from Glenwood Avenue to
Western Avenue, on Western Avenue from Hampshire
Avenue North to West Cortlawn Circle.
60 -LF -23 On Adair Avenue North in First Addition of
Brunswick Court; On Duluth Street from Adair
Avenue North to Brunswick Avenue North; On
Brunswick Avenue North from the North line of
the First Addition of Brunswick Court to Wolfberry
Lane.
60 -LF -24 All that part of Government Lot 4, Section 33,
Township 118, Range 21, lying East and North of
the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway
right-of-way.
60 -LF -25 On Ridgeway Road from Western Avenue to Harold
Avenue; On Half Moon Drive from Ridgeway Road to
Ridgeway Road; On Ridgeway Road in Stewart's
Ridgeway Second Addition.
60 -LF -26 On East frontage road of Trunk Highway No. 100
from Greenview Lane to a point 850 feet North of
Greenview Lane.
60 -LF -27 Lots 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, and 9, all in Block 1,
Lindsay's Addition; All of Blocks 2, 3, and
4, Lindsay's Addition; Lots 10, 11, 12, and
13, Auditor's Subdivision No. 346; Lot 6,
Block 4, Hipps Addition. On Golden Valley
Road from Douglas Drive to Trunk Highway No.
100; On West service drive, Trunk Highway
No. 100, from Golden Valley Road to St. Croix
Avenue. On St. Croix Avenue from Trunk Highway
No. 100 to Xenia Avenue North; All that part
of Government Lot 1, Section 33, Township 118,

North, to a point 600 feet East of Turner's
Crossroad; West side of Trunk Highway No. 100
from Glenwood Avenue, to a point 600 feet South
of Glenwood Avenue.
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the
proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the
authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement
is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above
description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting
on streets described above and also including all railroad property and railroad
_rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above-described areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets
described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and
to make known their objections to such proposed lateral sanitary sewer improve-
ment, if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Bies, Nadasdy, Flannagan, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following
voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the
Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
