#145 08-02-60 Provide Hearing Improvement 60-LF-21 Thru 291 C 1 Resolution No. 145 August 2, 1960 Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Lateral Sanitary Sewers - Project No. 60 -LF, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 29) BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain lateral sanitary sewer improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project, has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed and in connection with such other lateral sanitary sewer projects as may be and constitute part of Project No. 60-L.F. and be ordered for con- struction in 1960, and has given its estimated cost of the improvement here- inafter described as follows: Total cost of improvement: $274,040.03. 3. The Council shall meet at the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 public hearing on the proposed lateral therein. time and place specified in the hereof for the purpose of holding a sanitary sewer improvement as described 4. The Village Manager (Clerk) is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 4, 1960, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 11, 1960. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Lateral Sanitary Sewers - Project No. 60 -LF, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 29) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on August 16, 1960, at 7:30 o*clock P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed Lateral Sanitary Sewer Improvement. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all railroad property and railroad _rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above-described areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed lateral sanitary sewer improve- ment, if any there be.
