#150 08-16-60 Provide Hearing Improvement 80-SS-4284 Resolution No, 150 August 16, 1960 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (60—SS-4) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improve- ments, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows: Total cost of improvement: $46,366.05. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein. 4. The Village Manager (Clerk) is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, said publication to be in their issue of August 25, 1960. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT - STORM SEWER 60—SS-4. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on September 6, 1960 at 8:15 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed public improvements as herein designated: The improvement consists of the construction of Storm Sewers and Drainage Appurtenances to provide surface water drainage for the following described areas: Lots 12 thru 19, Block 10, Noble Grove Lots 15 thru 21, Block 11, Noble Grove 288 Resolution No. 150 (Continued) All of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Yale Garden Homes All of Alfred Godfrey Addition All of Lowry Terrace Addition All of Spake Addition All of Block 1, Woodlawn Park Lots 1 thru 8 and 11 thru 17, Block 8, Woodlawn Park Lots 1 thru 4 and 7 thru 10, Block 9, Woodlawn Park Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Goodrich Terrace Lots 2 and 3, Block 1, Re -arrangement of Lots 15, 16, 17, Yale Garden Homes. Lot 1, Block 5, Re -arrangement of Lots 15, 16, & 17, Yale Garden Homes. Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Dahinden's Third Addition That part of Lot 18 and that part of Lot 19, Yale Garden Homes lying South and East of Dahinden's Third Addition. The East 150 feet of lots ll, 12, and 13, Yale Garden Homes. The estimated cost of the proposed improvement being $46,366.05. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953 as amended. All properties within the Village which are benefited by the improvements, including all property abutting on said streets, are proposed to be assessed for such improvements. All owners of such properties abutting upon the areas described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed improvement, if any there be..
