#164 10-18-60 Provide Hearing Improvement 60-GG-1Resolution No. 164 October 18, 1960 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEWNT (60 -GG -1) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible, and that this should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows: Total Cost of Improvement: $50,143.78 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein. 4. The Village Manager (Clerk) is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated October 20, 1960, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated October 27, 1960. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Oh' A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (60 -GG -1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, November 1, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed public improve- ment. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improvement will be $50,143.78. The improvement consists of the following: opening, changing and establishing the grade, grading and gravelling, and providing for surface water drainage in and for the following -described streets: The area to be served will be as follows: All property abutting on the following - described streets: Resolution No. 164 (Continued) 60 -GG -1 Winsdale Street from Louisiana Avenue to Jersey Avenue. Knoll Street from Louisiana Avenue to Jersey Avenue. Plymouth Avenue from Louisiana Avenue to the West line of Lot 319, Belmont. Louisiana Avenue from Winsdale Street to the South line of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21. Jersey Avenue from Plymouth Avenue to Winsdale Street. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for said improvement as set forth in the descriptions above, including all property in the area and abutting on the streets described above. All owners of such property in the area and abutting on the streets described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvement if any there be.
