Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
MATERIALS FOR MISCELLANEOUS STREET AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
FOR 1961
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. It is hereby found, determined and declared that the lowest
responsible bidders for materials necessary for the construction of
Miscellaneous Street and Other Improvements for 1961, are as follows:

Bury & Carlson 42,550.00
Richards Oil Company 15,967.50
J. V. Gleason is specifically found not to be the lowest responsible bidder
for materials described as MC 01234, Item #7;
and that the bids submitted by said bidders listed above are in all respects
in accordance with law and with the published advertisement for bids, and with
plans and specifications heretofore approved by the Council and now on file
and of record in the office of the Village Clerk; and that the Village Engineer
has recommended that said bids be accepted, and said bids are hereby accepted.
2. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to make and execute contracts on behalf of the Village in accordance with the
terms of said bids when the bidders shall have furnished contractor's bonds
in the amount of the bids, conditioned as required by law.
3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return
forthwith all such cash deposits, bid bonds, certified checks or cashier's
checks or money orders furnished by other bidders, and to retain those furn-
ished by said contractors until the execution and filing of said contracts
and bonds in her office.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by
the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
