#016 03-21-61 Provide Hearing Improvement 61-SS-1, 3, 423 Resolution No, 16 March 21, 1961 Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (61 -SS -1, 3, and 4) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1.- In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain public improve- ments within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council, advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total cost of improvements: $26,702.48 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the forms of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Village Manager is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published in the Surburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, said publication to be in their issues of March 23, 1961 and March 30, 1961. Such notices shall be in sub- stantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT - STORM SEWER 61 -SS -1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota,will meet on April 4, 1961, at 7:30 P. The estimated cost of the proposed improvement is: $15,372,29 61 -SS -4 Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, Block 3, Westmore Heights Lots 1 through 12, Block 3, Westbrook Addition Lots 17 through 23, Block 3, Westbrook Addition Lots 1 through 14, Block 4, Westbrook Addition Lot 4, Block 2, Westbrook Addition That part of the Northwest a of the Northwest a of Section 28, Township 118, Range 21, lying North of W ynnwood Road and East of the West 399 feet thereof. The estimated cost of the proposed improvement is: $5,482.82 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953 as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement including all property abutting on the above-described streets and portions of streets. All owners of such property abutting upon the streets described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such improvements, if any there be.
