#031 05-16-61 Provide Hearing Improvement 61-WM-3Resolution No. 31 May 16, 1961 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (61 WM-3) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with any other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows: Total cost of improvement: $3,581.19. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, said publication to be in their issue of May 18th, May 25th, 1961. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT 61-WM-3 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 6, 1961 at 7:30 p.m. o'clock, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the following public improvement: The construction of six inch watermain and appurtenances abutting the following described property: Lots 12 through 15, inclusive, Block 11, West Tyrol Hills. The estimated cost of the proposed improvement is: $3,581.19. Resolution No. 31 (Continued) In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefitted by the improvement, including the above-described property, is proposed to be assessed for such improvement. All owners of the property described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and make known their objections, if any there be.
