#046 06-20-61 Award Contract Improvements 61-SS-5, 61-CG-13, 14 EtcResolution No. 46 June 20, 1961 Member Bies then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (61 -SS -5; 61 -CG -13, 14; 61 -GG -1, 3) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council if the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared that the lowest respon- sible bidders for the construction of certain public improvements for 1961, are as follows: Portion Bid On Name of Bidder and Accepted Base Amount of Bid Erickson Brothers (61 -SS -5) All $3,568.10 Art Bolier Const. Co.(61-CG-13 & 14) " $3,250.00 Veit & Company (61-GG1 & 3) of $17,683.75 and that the bids submitted by said bidders listed above are in all respects in accordance with law and with the published advertisement for bids, and with plans and specifications heretifore approved by the Council and now on file and of record in the office of the Village Clerk; and that the Village Engineer has recommended that said bids be accepted, and said bids are hereby accepted. 2. The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make and execute contracts on behalf of the Village in accordance with the terms of said bids when the bidders shall have furnished contractor's bonds in the amount of the bids, conditioned as required by law. 3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forth- with all such cash deposits, bid bonds, certified checks, cashier's checks or money orders furnished by other bidders, and to retain those furnished by said contractors until the execution and filing of said contracts and bonds in his office. 4. All other bids are rejected. it Mayor Attest: Clerk The motion for the adoption if the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following vited in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: Nine, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
