Resolution No. 49 July 5, 1961
Member Bies then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(61 -LF -1, 3, 5, 6, 71 8, 9, 101 11, 12, 13;
61-WM-4)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. It is hereby found, determined and declared, that the lowest
responsible bidders for work and materials necessary for the construction of
Projects No. 61 -LF -1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13; 61 WM-4 are as

and that the bids submitted by said bidders listed above are in all respects
in accordance with law and with the published advertisements for bids, and with
plans and specifications heretofore approved by the Council and now on file
and of record in the office of the Village Clerk; and that the Village
Engineer has recommended that said bids be accepted, and said bids are hereby
accepted.
2. The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to make and execute contracts on behalf of the Village in accordance with the
terms of said bids when the bidders shall have furnished contractors' bonds
in the amounts of the bids, conditioned as required by law.
3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return
forthwith all cash deposits, bid bonds, certified or cashier's checks and
money orders furnished by other bidders, and to retain that furnished by said
contractors until the execution and filing of said contracts and bonds in his
office.
4. All other bids are rejected.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Flannagan, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by
the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
