#053 07-18-61 Provide Hearing Sanitary Sewer 61-LF-17Resolution No. 53 July 18, 1961 Member Bies introduced and read the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Project No. 61 -LF -17) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain lateral sani- tary sewer improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project, has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement is feasible and should best be made as proposed and in connection with such other lateral sanitary sewer projects as may be and constitute part of Project No. 61-L.F. and be ordered for construc- tion in 1961, and has given its estimated cost of the improvement hereinafter described as follows: Total cost of improvement: $13,354.06. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement as described therein. 4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 3,-1961, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 10, 1961. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Project No. 61 -LF -17) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on August 15, 1961, at 8:00 o•clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed Lateral Sanitary Sewer Improvement: The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the Improvement will be $13,354.06. The area to be served will be as follows: All property abutting on Sumter Avenue and Ewald Terrace, all lying within the proposed plat of Ewald Terrace 2nd Addition on file in the office of the Village Engineer, and on Winnetka Avenue from its intersection with Western Avenue to its intersection with Ewald Terrace. q o T.. Resolution No. 53 (Continued) In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all railroad property and railroad rights-ot-way located in or abutting on the above-described areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement, if any there be.
