#059 08-01-61 Provide Hearing Improvements 61-WM-23,26,27lot Resolution No. 59 August 1, 1961 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (61-WM-23, 26, 27) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain water main improve- ments within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project, has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed water main improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed and in connection with such other water main projects as may be and constitute part of Project No. 61 -STM, and be ordered for construction in 1961, and has given its estimated cost of the improvements hereinafter described as follows: Total cost of Improvements: $130,917.22. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed water main improvements as described therein. 4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 17, 1961, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 24, 1961. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS (Project No. 61=SVM-23, 26, 27) NOTICE IS HF.RE13Y GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on September 5, 1961, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed water main improve- ments. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improvements will be $130,917.22. The area and streets to be served will be as follows: All property abutting on: (61-WM-23, Estimated Cost $67,660.16) The South Side of Wayzata Boulevard from its intersection with June Avenue to its intersection with France Avenue; 102 Resolution No. 59 (Continued) Tyrol Trail in Tyrol Hills; Brenner Pass in Tyrol Hills; Kaltern Lane in Tyrol Hills; Alpine Pass in Tyrol Hills; Ivy Lane in Tyrol Hills; June Avenue from its intersection with Wayzata Boulevard to its intersection with Douglas Drive. (61-WM-26, Estimated Cost $47,089.81) Tyrol Crest from its intersection with June Avenue to its intersection with Cul -De -Sac; Sussex Road from its inter- section with June Avenue to its intersection with Avondale Road; Fairlawn Way from its intersection with Wayzata Boulevard to its intersection with Douglas Avenue; Avondale Road from its intersection with Fairlawn Way to its intersection with Douglas Avenue; Douglas Avenue from its intersection with June Avenue to its intersection with Fairlawn Way. (61-WM-27, Estimated Cost $16,167.25) Tyrol Trail from its intersection with Parkview Terrace to its intersection with Ravine Trail; Ravine Trail from its intersection with Tyrol Trail to its intersection with Wayzata Boulevard; The North Side of Wayzata Boulevard from its inter- section with Ravine Trail to a point 230 feet East of Ravine Trail. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all railroad property and rail- road rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above-described areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed water main improvements, if any there be.
