Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION
AND PROVIDING THAT WORK BE DONE BY DAY LABOR
(61 -BS -27, 43, 44)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. That at a public hearing held on this day at 7:30 o'clock p.m. at the
address of 7800 Golden Valley Road, in the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota,
after notices of said hearing duly published as required by law, this Council
has consulted the views of all persons interested and, being fully advised of
the pertinent facts, does hereby determine to proceed with the construction of
certain proposed public improvements contained in said notices.
2. It is hereby found and determined that said public improvements can
best be constructed as proposed and not in connection with some other public
improvement.
3. The cost of said improvements shall be paid out of special assessments
to be levied as set forth in said notices of public hearing.
4. The Village Engineer is hereby designated as engineer for the construc-
tion of said proposed public improvements and the plans and specifications for
said improvements heretofore prepared by him are hereby approved.
5. Said improvements consist of bituminous surfacing of certain streets.
6. The Village .Engineer shall proceed under the direction of the Village
Council, as given from time to time to carry on all work in connection with said
improvements, in accordance with the plans and specifications herein approved.
7. It is hereby found and determined that the Village of Golden Valley has
sufficient equipment to carry on the work necessary for said improvements. It is
hereby directed that said equipment be used for said work and that the appropriate
funds shall be charged for the use of said equipment, the reasonable rental value
thereof as the cost of said work, and the Village Engineer shall keep an accurate
record and account of the use and rental of said equipment and of materials used
and of work done and shall include it on any and all reports on the cost of work
done by day labor under the provisions of the resolution.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following members
voted in favor thereof: Bies, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by
the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
