#106 01-16-62 Provide Hearing Improvements 62-WM-4 Thru 39r 8 c Resolution No. 106 January 16, 1962 Member Scherer introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Lateral Water Main Improvements No. 62- WM-4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 16, 18, 19, 22, 23, 32, 33, 35, 37, and 39) BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a.preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improve- ments as follows: Total Cost of Improvement: $397,979.57. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for four successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated January 18, 1962, and the last of said publications to be in the paper dated February 8, 1962. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Lateral Water Main Improvements No. 62-IqM-4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 16, 18, 19, 22, 23, 32, 33, 35, 37, and 39) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on February 13, 1962, at 7:30 o*clock P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public im- provements, consisting of the construction and installation of Lateral Water Main Improvements and subsequent street repair and replacement. . S4 Resolution No. 106 (Continued) The Engineer estimates that the cost of the improvements will be $3979979.57. The areas where said improvements will be constructed and which they will serve are as follows: All lots, tracts or parcels of land abutting on the following -described streets and/or legally described lines: 62-.9M-4 ) On North Cortlawn Circle from its intersection with South Cortlawn Circle to its intersection with West Cortlawn Circle; on South Cortlawn Circle from its intersection with Edgewood Avenue South to its inter- section with West Cortlawn Circle; on West Cortlawn Circle from the South Line of Cortlawn Addition, 2nd Section to its intersection with Western Avenue; and on Edgewood Avenue South from its intersection with Glenwood Avenue to the South Line of Cortlawn Addition. (62-1.,01-6) On Janalyn Circle from its intersection with Meadow Lane South to its intersection with Meadow Lane South; and on Glencrest Road from its intersection with Meadow Lane South to its intersection with Janalyn Circle. (62-11M-7) On Trunk Highway No. 100 from its intersection with Douglas Avenue to the North Line of Lot 8, Block 3, Kavlis Cedardale; on Princeton Avenue South from its intersection with Douglas Avenue to the North Line of Kavlis Cedardale; on Ottawa Avenue South from its inter- section with Douglas Avenue to the North Line of Kavlis Cedardale; and on Natchez Avenue South from its inter- section with Douglas Avenue to its intersection with Wayzata Boulevard. (62—IIM-13 ) On Woodstock Avenue North from its intersection with Trunk Highway No. 100 to its intersection with Cloverleaf Drive; on Cloverleaf Drive from its intersection with Trunk High- way No. 55 to its intersection with Woodstock Avenue; and on Clover Lane from its intersection with Cloverleaf Drive to its intersection with Woodstock Avenue North. (62—,'VM-19 ) On Turnpike Road from its intersection with Turner*s Cross— road to its intersection with Lawn Terrace; on Turnpike Road from its intersection with Lawn Terrace to its inter— section with Radisson Road; on Turnpike Road from the South Line of Lot 6, Block 3, Spring Green, extended Westerly to the North Line of Lot 7, Block 3, Spring Green, extended Westerly; on Lawn Terrace from its intersection with Turnpike Road to its intersection with Colonial Drive; on Radisson Road from its intersection with Turners Crossroad to its intersection with Turnpike Road; and on the West Side of Trunk Highway No. 100 from its intersection with Colonial Drive to a point 1000 feet North of Colonial Drive. (62—WM-22 ) On Westwood Drive North from its intersection with Trunk Highway No. 55 to its intersection with Burntside Drive; on Burntside Drive from its intersection with Westwood Drive North to its intersection with Roanoke Road; on Roanoke Road from its intersection with Burntside Drive to its intersection with Westwood Drive North; and on Westwood Drive North from its intersection with Roanoke Road to its intersection with Glenwood Avenue. (62-WM-32) On Brunswick Avenue South from its intersection with Glenwood Avenue to the East Line of Trach's 2nd Addition; and on Dakota Avenue South from its intersection with Glenwood Avenue to the East Line of Trach's 2nd Addition. (62-WM-33) On Ottawa Avenue South from Circle Down to a point 500 feet North of Circle Down; on Circle Down from its intersection with Trunk Highway No. 100 to its inter- section with Natchez Avenue South; on Natchez Avenue South from its intersection with Glenwood Avenue to its intersection with Sunset Ridge; on Maddaus Lane from its intersection with Glenwood Avenue to its intersection with Westwood Drive South; on Westwood Lane from its intersection with Westwood Drive South to its cul-de-sac; and Westwood Drive South from its intersection with Glenwood Avenue to its intersection with Ravine Trail. (62-WM-35) On Winsdale Street from its intersection with Hampshire Avenue North to its intersection with Florida Avenue North; and on Knoll Street from its intersection with Hampshire Avenue North to its intersection with Florida Avenue North. (62-WM-37) On Western Terrace from its intersection with Western Avenue to its cul-de-sac; on Hanley Road from its inter- section with Western Avenue to a point 290 feet South of Western Avenue; and on Western Avenue from its inter- section with Winnetka Avenue to a point 1150 feet West of Winnetka Avenue. (62-I.qM-39 ) On Circle Down from its intersection with Turner's Crossroad to its intersection with Wayzata Boulevard. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improve- ments is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in Resolution No. 106 (Continued) the above descriptions, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above-described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
