WHEREAS, it has been deemed necessary to change in part the loca— tion of the above—described water main trunks, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineers for the Village have reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and in con— nection with some other improvements and in connection with all other water main trunks and facilities for water supply and storage Project No. 62 W.M.T., and have given their estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total cost of improvements: 1$2,583,300.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated February 22, 1962, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated March 1, 1962. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Water Main Trunks and Facilities for Water Supply and Storage, Project No. 62 W.M.T.) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on March 6, 1962, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road 9Q° Resolution No. 109 (Continued) in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improve- ments will be $2,583,300.00. The areas where said improvements will be constructed and which they will serve and the nature of the improvements are as follows: A change in the public improvement consisting of the construction and installation of water main trunks and facilities for water supply and storage, land acquisition therefor and subsequent street replacement. The change provides for the installation of water main trunks in the following streets and areas: The original water main alignment from the reservoir site down France Avenue and Sunny - ridge Lane to Olson Highway (Trunk Highway No. 55) is herein proposed to be re -aligned through said park along the east and south boundaries of the Glenwood Hills Hospital site to Indiana Avenue (extended) and thence south to Olson Highway along the Indiana Avenue alignment. Since this re -alignment eliminates the trunk main originally located on Sunnyridge Lane between Olson Highway (Trunk Highway No. 55) and the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railroad which has petition- ed for lateral water main, it is further proposed that a lateral main be added to this project to serve this area. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improve- ment is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all rail- road rights -of -moray located in or abutting on the above-described areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public im- provements, if any there be.
