#117 03-06-62 Order Improvement 62-WMT Indiana Ave Amendmenti8 Resolution No. 117 March 6, 1962 Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF A CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (Water Main Trunks and Facilities for Water Supply and Storage, Project No. 62 W.M.T., Indiana Avenue Amendment) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That at a public hearing held on this day at 7:30 o'clock p.m. at the address of 7800 Golden Valley Road in the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, after notice of said hearing duly published as required by law, this Council has consulted the views of all persons interested and, being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does hereby determine to proceed with the construction of a certain proposed public improvement for said Village, in accordance with the amended description of said improvement contained in said notice, as follows: The original water main alignment from the reservoir site down France Avenue and Sunny - ridge Lane to Olson Highway (Trunk Highway No. 55) is herein proposed to be re -aligned through said park along the east and south boundaries of the Glenwood Avenue (extended) and thence south to Olson Highway along the Indiana Avenue alignment. Since this re -alignment eliminates the trunk main originally located on Sunnyridge Lane between Olson Highway (Trunk Highway No. 55) and the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railroad which has petitioned for lateral water main, it is further proposed that a lateral main be added to this project to serve this area. 2. It is hereby found and determined that said public improve- ment is feasible and can best be constructed as set forth in said report and in connection with Improvement No. 62 W.M.T. (the Council reserves the right to consolidate said improvement with other public improvements at a later date if it seems advisable to do so). 3. The cost of said improvement shall be paid in part out of special assessments to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing. 219 Resolution No. 117 (Continued) 4. Orr-Schelen-Mayeron and Associates, Inc., are hereby designated as engineers for the construction of said proposed public improvement, and are hereby authorized, ordered and instructed to prepare final plans and specifications for said improvement and submit the same to the Village Council for approval at the earliest possible date.
