Member Bies introduced and read the following written resolution and
MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON
CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Projects No. 62 -LF -1, 2, 39 41 51, 61 7, 81,
and 9; 62 -GG -2 and 3)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws
of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain lateral
sanitary sewer and grading and graveling improvements within the Village
as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project,
has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the
proposed improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed
and in connection with such other projects as may be and constitute
part of Project No. 62 -LF and Project No. 62 -GG, and be ordered for con-
struction in 1962, and has given its estimated cost of the improvements
hereinafter described as follows:
Total cost of improvements: $ 371,164.64.
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the
form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding
a public hearing on the proposed lateral sanitary sewer and grading and
graveling improvements as described therein.
4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of
the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two
successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the
Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper
dated April 5, 1962, and the second of said publications to be in the
issue of said paper dated April 12, 1962. Such notice shall be in sub-
stantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on April 17, 1962,
at 7:30 o*clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in
said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain
proposed public improvements:

Lateral Sanitary Sewer: (62 -LF -1, 2, 3, 4, 59 6, 7, 8, 9)
The nature of said improvement is the construction of lateral
sanitary sewer to be constructed in and for the following streets and
areas (In each case the estimated cost of the individual improvement is
set forth at the end of description thereof.):
62 -LF -1 Brunswick Avenue North from its intersection with Glenwood
Avenue to its cul-de-sac; Glenwood Avenue from its intersection
with Brunswick Avenue North to its intersection with Meander
Road.
Estimated Cost: $55,379,89
62 -LF -6 Castle Court from its intersection with Plymouth Avenue to its
cul-de-sac.
Estimated Cost: $ 4169.18

Proposed Olympia Street from its intersection with Louisiana
Avenue North to its intersection with Kelly Drive; Maryland
Avenue North from its intersection with proposed Olympia Street
to its intersection with the South Line of Andrew Krutzig
Addition; proposed Maryland Avenue North from the South line
of Andrew Krutzig Addition to the North line of Peterson's
Valley View Addition; Kelly Drive from the South line of Lot
12, Keene, Higbee & Bitzer's Golden Valley Outlots to proposed
Olympia Street.
Estimated Cost: $23,480.85

Western Terrace from its intersection with Western Avenue to
its cul-de-sac; Hanley Road 380 feet North from Westerm Avenue.
Estimated Cost: $19,188.08

Proposed Bonnie Lane from the North line of Section 18, Township
299 Range 24, 815 feet South from said North line.
Estimated Cost: $10,476.80

Zane Avenue North from its intersection with Trunk Highway No. 55
to the Minnesota Western Railroad; Tract, Registered Land
Survey No. 11 from Trunk Highway No. 55 to the North line of
Registered Land Survey No. 11; North side of Trunk Highway No.
55 from Zane Avenue to Trunk Highway No. 100; West side of Trunk
Highway No. 100 from Trunk Highway No. 55 to Minnesota Western
Railroad.
Estimated Cost: $55,379,89

its intersection with Duluth Street.

62 -LF -8 Gettysburg Avenue North from its intersection with Duluth
Street to its intersection with Earl Street; Duluth Street
and Duluth Street extended from its intersection with
Gertysburg to its intersection with Aquilla Avenue North,
Ensign Avenue and Ensign Avenue extended from its inter-
section with Medicine Lake Road to its intersection with
Duluth Street extended; proposed 23rd Avenue North from
its intersection with Aquila Avenue North to its inter-
section with Ensign Avenue North; proposed Elgin Place
from its intersection with Ensign Avenue to its intersection
with Cavell Circle; proposed Medley Lane from its inter-
section with Ensign Avenue to its intersection with Cavell
Avenue; proposed Cavell Circle from its intersection with
23rd Avenue to its intersection with 23rd Avenue; proposed
Decatur Avenue from its intersection with Medicine Lake
Road to its cul-de-sac; proposed Cavell Avenue from its
intersection with Medicine Lake Road to its intersection
with 23rd Avenue North.

62 -LF -9 Proposed Brunswick Avenue from its intersection with Wynwood
Road to its intersection with proposed Medicine Lake Road;
proposed Lamplighter Lane from its intersection with Zane
Avenue to its intersection with proposed Medicine Lake Road;
proposed Heritage Circle; proposed Manchester Drive from
its intersection with proposed Brunswick Avenue to its
intersection with Lamplighter Lane.
Estimated Cost: $43,706.04
Gradin and Graveling: (62 -GG -2, 3)

The nature of the remainder of said improvements, consists of
changing and establishing the grading and graveling and making provision
for water drainage in and for the following areas (In each case the
estimated cost of the individual improvement is set forth at the end
of description thereof.):
62 -GG -2 Zane Avenue from its intersection with Trunk Highway No. 55
to the Minnesota Western Railroad.

62 -GG -3 Western Terrace from its intersection with Western Avenue
to its cul-de-sac, and Hanley Road in Western Terrace Hills.
Estimated Cost: $ 7,747.85.
The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the
Improvements will be $371,164.64.
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the
proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the
authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improve-
ments is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in
the descriptions, including all property within the described areas
and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all
railroad property and railroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on
the above-described areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the
streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said
public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed
public improvements, if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Scherer and, upon vote being.taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer,
and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon the said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.
