Member Bies introduced the following written resolution and MOVED its
adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
(62 -LF -1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9; 62 -GG -2, 3; 62-G-4)
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolutions passed by the Council on this date,
the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for Improve-
ment Projects No. 62 -LF -1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9; 62 -GG -2, 3; 62-G-4,
and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its
approval, NOW, THEREFORE.,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley,
1. That such plans and specifications be, and the same hereby are
approved.
2. That there shall be prepared and inserted in the Suburban Press
and in the Construction Bulletin advertisements for bids for the making
of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisements shall be published once, not less than three weeks before
the last day for the submission of bids, shall specify the work to be
done, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with
the Village Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check,
bid bond, money order, or certified check payable to the Village Clerk
for five percent (57o) of the amount of such bid.
In the case of improvements No. 62 -LF -19 20 3, 4, 5, 6, 70 8 and 9,
the advertisements shall state that bids will be opened at 11:00 o'clock
a.m. on May 11, 1962, in the Council Chambers by the Village Engineer and
the Village Manager, and tabulated, and will be considered by the Village
Council at 7:30 o'clock p.m, on May 15, 1962, in the Council Chambers.
In the case of improvements No. 62 -GG -2 and 3; 62-G-4, the Village
Engineer shall proceed under the direction of the Council as given from
time to time to carry on all wqrk in connection with such improvements
in accordance with the plans and specifications herein approved, keeping
accurate account of all materials used and of all labor and equipment
utilized.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed
by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.
