#133 05-01-62 Provide Hearing Improvement CSAH No. 66Resolution No. 133 May 1, 1962 Member Bies introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (C.S.A.H. No. 66) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain proposed public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council, advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improve- ment as follows: Total cost of improvement: $291,603.40. s 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein. 4. The Village Manager is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, said publication to be in their issues of May 8, 1962, and May 10, 1962. Said notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (CSAH NO. 66) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, May 15th, 1962, at 7:30 p.m. at 7800 Golden Valley Road insaid Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed public improve- ment. The proposed will be undertaken jointly with Hennepin County. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the total cost for the improvement will be $291,603.40. The Engineer further estimates the Village share of the Construction Cost to be $125,830.38. r Resolution No. 133 May 1, 1962 The improvement consists of the following: Opening, changing and establishing the grade, grading and graveling, bituminous surfacing, concrete curb & gutter, and providing for surface water drainage in, on, and for the following described streets and streets in and abutting on and/or serving the following described areas: Block 11, Yarnall's Golden Valley Outlots. Block 12, Yarnall's Golden Valley Outlots. Block 5, Yarnall's Golden Valley Outlots. Outlot 1, First Addition of Brunswick Court. Tracts A, B, C, D, & E Registered Land Survey No. 331. Government Lot 3, Section 28, Township 118, Range 21. Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7, Block 2, all in Greenview Terrace. Lots 1, 2, 3, & 4, Block 1, all in Scheid's Terrace. That part of Lot 62, Auditor's Subdivision Number 330, described as follows: Commencing at a point in the North line distant 250 feet East from the Northwest corner of said Lot 62; thence West 150 feet; thence South 32 degrees 02 minutes East 250.3 feet; thence North 81 degrees, 18 minutes Fast 53.29 feet; thence on a tangential curve to the left having a radius of 595.5 feet a distance of 44.84 feet; thence North 21 degrees 51 minutes West 211 feet to beginning. Lot 9, Auditor's Subdivision Number 361. That part of Lot 62, Auditor's Sub. 330, lying North of Golden Valley Road and between the East line of Regent Avenue and the West line of Westurban 2nd Addition. Lots 1, 2, 3, & 4, Block 1, all in Westurban Second Addition. Lots 1 & 2, Block 1, all in Scheid Gardens. Lot 1, Auditor's Subdivision Number 330. Lots 1, 29 & 30, Block 2, all in Scheid Gardens. Lot 1, Block 2,Westurban. Lot 7, Block 1, Westurban. Resolution No. 133 May 1, 1962 Tract D. Registered Land Survey Number 427. Lots 1, 21, & 3, Block 1, Pankonie Addition. That part of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 18, Township 29, Range 24, lying South of Golden Valley Road (County Road Number 66). All that part of the Northeast quarter of Section 18, Township 29, Range 24, described as follows: Commencing at the inter- section of the West line of said Northeast quarter and the center line of Watertown Road (Golden Valley Road); thence Easterly along said centerline 165 feet; thence North 164 feet; thence West to the West line of said North-east Quarter; thence South 212.8 feet to beginning. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953 as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights- of-way located in or abutting on the described areas. All owners of such property in the area and abutting on the area and/or streets described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
