#138 05-15-62 Award Improvements 62-LF-1 Thru 101 Resolution No. 138 May 15, 1962 Member Bies then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption. RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (62 -LF -1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared that the lowest responsible bidder for work and materials necessary for the construction of Projects 62 -LF -1, 2, 3, 43 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 are as follows: Name of Bidder Northern Contracting Portion of Work Bid on and Accepted All Base Amount of Bid $161,197.36 and that the bid submitted by said bidder listed above is in all respects in accordance with law and with the published advertisement for bids, and with plans and specifications heretofore approved by the Council and now on file and of record in the office of the Village Clerk; and that the Village Engineer has recommended that said bid be accepted, and said bid is hereby accepted. 2. The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make and execute a contract on behalf of the Village in accordance with the terms of said bed when the bidder shall have furnished a contractor's bond in the amount of the bid, conditioned as required by law. 3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith all cash deposits, bid bonds, certified or cashier's check and money orders furnished by other bidders, and to retain that furnished by said contractor until the execution and filing of said contract and bond in his office. 4. All other bids are rejected. Attest: erk 307 Resolution 138 (Continued) May 15, 1962 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Scherer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk. 1 1
