#143 05-15-62 Approve Redesignation Center Line of CSAH No. 66t -q V Resolution No. 143 May 15, 1962 Member Flannagan introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION (Approving Redesignation of Center Line of C.SA.H. No. 66) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley as follows: WHEREAS, the County Board of the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota did adopt a certain resolution dated altering the designation of County, State Aid Highway No. 66 within the corporate limits of the Village of Golden Valley, as follows: "WHEREAS, The Minnesota Department of Highways has constructed a grade separation and diamond ramp inter- change located on Trunk Highway 100 approximately 1600 feet north of the present interesection of Trunk Highway 100 and County State Aid Highway No. 66; and "WHEREAS, This newly constructed interchange re- quires that County State Aid Highway No. 66 be relocated and constructed from Douglas Drive (County State Aid Highway No. 102) to Quail Avenue in Golden Valley. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the County of Hennepin revoke the designation of the existing County State Aid Highway No. 66 from Douglas Drive (County State Aid High - Way No. 102) to Quail Avenue in Golden Valley, as described within the Commissioner of Highway's Order No. 27368, dated April 15, 1958, and that this p02tion of roadway be returned to the Village of Golden Valley, to be under their jurisdiction for its operation as a local street, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That County State Aid High- way No. 66 be redesignated along new alignment as follows: Commencing at a point on the centerline of the existing Douglas Drive (County State Aid Highway No. 102) approximately 33 feet North of the west 4 corner of Section 28, Township 118, North, Range 21 West; thence continuing easterly parallel to the east -west 4 line of said Section 28 a distance of approximately 745 feet west and 255 feet south of the east 4 corner of said Section 28; thence easterly to the intersection with Trunk Highway No. 100 at a point approximately 88 feet north of the West 1�4 corner of Section 18, Township 29 1 1 1 Resolution No. 143 (Continued) May 15, 1962 North, Range 24 West; thence continuing easterly and southeasterly to a point on Toledo Avenue at or near the east -west line of said Section 18; thence south- easterly to a point on the west 116 line of said Section 18 (Regent Avenue) a distance of approximately 280 feet south of the east -west 4 line of said Section 18; thence easterly and northeasterly to the intersection with the present location of Quail Avenue and County State Aid Highway No. 66, located approximately 790 feet West and 133 feet South of the center section corner of said Section 18, and there terminating." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley that said resolution as above set forth is, in all things approved, and all of its terms are hereby dopted and ratified. Mayor Attest: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Bies and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk. 325
