#173 08-07-62 Approve Bids 62-WM-1 Thru 94Resolution No. 173 August 7, 1962 Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MVED its adoption: RESOLUTION APFROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CRDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Lateral Water Main Improvements No. 62-WM-1, 24,619'b21,642, 43, 46, 48, 47, 50, 52, 53, 555 56, 58, 59, 60, 65, 66, 67, 69-81, 84, 85, 87-92, 94) WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for Later water main construction (62-WM-1, 24, 29, 31, 42, 43, 46, 48, 49, 50, 52, 53, 55, 56, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 65, 66, 67, 69-81, 84, 85, 87-94) and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for their approval; Now, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, 1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved. 2. That the Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the Suburban Press and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon making of such improvement under such approved plans and spec- ifications. The advertisement shall be published once in the Suburban Press and in the Construction Bulletin, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened and considered by the Village Manager, Clerk, and Engineer at 11:00 o'clock A.M. on September 14, 1962, in the Council Chambers and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and Clerk accompained by a cash deposit, money order, filed with the Village and cashierts check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Village Clerk for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. Said bids will be consider- 18, 1962, at 7:30 o'- ed by the Village Council at its meeting of September clock P.M. in the Council Chambers in the Civi ent Myer Attest: , Vi age Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, following voted in favor thereof. Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, Tethe and the following voted against the same: None, declared duly passed and adopted, signed by whereupon said resolution was the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
