Member Flannagan introduced and read the following written resolution and
MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(62 -BS -22, 24, 28; 62 -CG -9)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953,this Council proposes to construct certain proposed public
improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in
Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The engineer for the Village has repotted to the Council advising
it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are fessible
and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with
some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements
as follows:
Total cost of improvements: x$14,345.82.
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a publ:b
hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks
in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of
such publications to be in the issue of said paper date August 9, 1962, and
the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper date August
16, 1962. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

PROPOSED STREET IMPROVEMENTS
CONCRETE CURB & GUTTER (CG), BITUMINOUS SURFACING (BS)
Notice IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on August 21, 1962 at 8:00
o'clock P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village
for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed street improvements.
The proposed improvements and the costs as estimated by the Village
Engineer are as follows.-

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed
improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority
granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property, within the Village which is benefitted by the improvements
is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above
descriptions, including all property within the described areas and/or a-
butting on streets described above and also including all railroad property
and/or railroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above described
areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets
described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and
to make known their objections to these proposed street improvements, if any
there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by
the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
