#182 08-21-62 Provide Hearing Improvements 62-WM-99, 62-BS-29Resolution No. 182 Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC .HEARING ON CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (62-WM-993 62 -BS -29) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council, advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total cost of improvements: $ 18,880.85. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Village Manager is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, said publication to be in their issues of September 6, 1962, and September 13, 1962. Said notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARD ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS LATERAL WATERmAIN 62-W14.99, BITUMINOUS SURFACING 62 -BS -29 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will, meet on September 18, 1962 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements as designated below: IMPROVEMENT # TYPE LOCATION ESTIMATED COST 62 -BS -29 Bituminous Surfacing Westwood Lane $1173.07 62-WM-99 Watermain Ridgeway Road from $17,707.78 Western Ave. to Winnetka Ave. In conducting said hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority Resolution No. 182 (continued) August 21, 1962 granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property abutting on the streets described above. All owners of such property are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
