#195 10-02-62 Award Improvement 62-SS-2Resolution No. 195 October 2, 1962 Member Bies then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (62 -SS -2) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared, that the lowest respon- sible bidder for work and materials necessary for the construction of Project No. 62 -SS -2, is as follows: Portion of Work Bid Name of Bidder On and Accepted Base Amount of Bid Bergstrom Construction Company All $14,080.00 and that the bid submitted by said bidder listed above is in all respects in accordance with law and with the published advertisements for bids, and with plans and specifications heretofore approved by the Council and now on file and of record in the office of the Village Clerk; and that the Village Engi- neer has recommended that said bid be accepted and that the consulting engi- neers for the Village have recommended that said bid be accepted, and said bid is hereby accepted. 2. The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make and execute a contract on behalf of -'the Village in accordance with the terms of said bid when the bidder shall have furnished a contractorts bond in the amount of the bid, conditioned as required by law. 3. The Village CIrk is hereby authorized and directed to return forth- with all cash deposits, bid bonds, certified or cashierts checks and money orders furnished by other bidders and to retain that furnished by said con- tractor until the execution and filing of said contract and bond in his office. 4. All other bids are rejected. yor Attest- Village ttest-Vi lage Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was de- clared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature at- tested by the Village Clerk.
