#196 10-02-62 Adopt Assessment Various ImprovementsResolution No. 196 October 2, 1962 Member Flannagan then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The amount proper and necessary to be specially assessed at this time for various public improvements: 61 -SC -2, 3; 61 -BS -2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 19, 20, 22, 29, 30, 33, 33a, 36; 61 -CG -3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 14, 19; 61 -DA -28; 62 -DA -1, 2, 3, 45 51 65 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 32, 33, 34, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 43, 47, 49; 62 -GG -1, 3, 5; 61 -ss -1, 3, 4, 5; 61 -LF -1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 19; 61-WWNM--3, 4, 13, 14, 18, 19, 23, 24, 26, 27, 30; 62-WM-4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 16, 18, 19, 22, 23, 32, 33, 35, 37, 39;62 -WMT against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land affected thereby has been duly calculated upon the basis of benefits, withou regard to cash val- uation, in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and nbtice has been duly published, as required by law, that this Council would meet to hear, consider and pass upon all objections, if any, and said proposed assessment has at all times since its filing been open for public inspection, and an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their objections, if any, to such proposed assessments. 2. This Council, having heard and considered all''objections so pre- sented, and being fully advised in the premises, finds that each of the lots, pieces and parcels of land enumerated in the proposed assessments (as a- mended) was and is specially benefited by the construction of said improve- ment,in not less than the amount of the assessment set opposite the des- cription of each such lot, piece and parcel of land, respectively, and such amount so set out is hereby levied against each of the respective lots, pieces and parcels of land therein described. .3. The proposed assessments (as amended) are hereby adopted and con- firmed as.the proper special assessments for each of said lots, pieces and parcels of land respectively, and the assessment against each parcel, to- gether with interest at the rate of 6% per annum accruing on the full amount thereof from time to time upaid, shall be a lien concurrent with general taxes upon parcel and all thereof. The total amount -of each such assessment shall be payable in equal annual principal installments extending over a period of years, as indicated in each case, the first of said installments, together with interest on the entire assessment from the date hbreof to December 31, 1962, to be payable with general taxes for the year 1962, col- lectible in 1963, and one of each of the remaining installments, together with one yearts interest on that and all other unpaid installments, to bepayable with general taxes for each consecutive year thereafter until the entire assessment is paid. Prior to certification of the assessment to the County Auditor, the owner of any lot, piece or parcel of land assessed hereby may at any time pay the whole of such assessment, with interest to the date of payment, to the Village Treasurer, but no interest shall be charged if such payment is made within 30 days after the date of this resolution._ 5. The Village Clerk shall, as soon as to the County Auditor a certified duplicate each installment and interest on each unpaid to be extended upon the proper tax lists of Auditor shall thereafter collect said assess by law. Attest: Village Clerk may be, prepare and transmit of the assessment roll, with assessment set forth separately, the County, and the County ments in the manner provided The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Teresi, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk. 1 1
