Member Teresi then introduced and read the following written resolution
and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT(S)
(62-T,IM-56)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain proposed public
improvement(s) within the Village as stated in the form of notice included
in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council, advising it in
a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement(s)is (are) feasible
and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with
some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improve-
ment(s)

Total cost of improvement(s): $9,094.52.
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the propposed public improvement(s) as described therein.
4. The Village Manager is authorized and directed to cause notice of
the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published in the Suburban
Press, the official newspaper of the Village, said publication to be in
their issues of October 4 and 11, 1962. Said notice shall be in substan-
tially the following form:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
LATERAL WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County,'Minnesota, will meet on October 16, 1962
at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said
Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed
public improvements, consisting of the construction and installation of
Lateral Water Main Improvement and subsequent street repair and replacement.
The Engineer estimates that the cost of the improvement will be
$9094.52.
The Area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will
serve are as follows:

All lots, tracts, or parcels of land abutting on the following des-
cribed street:
62 -Wm -56: On Zane Ave. No., from Westbrook Road to the North Village
Ia mits.
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the pro-
posed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the author-
ity
uthority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements
is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above
description, including all property within the described area and/or abut-
ting on the street described above and also including all railroad property
and/or railroad rights-of-way located in or, abutting on the above described
area.
All owners of such property in the area and abutting upon the street
described above; are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing
and to make known their objections to this proposed public improvement,

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the
following voted against the same: None,; whereupon said resolution was de-
clared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature at-
tested by the Village Clerk.
